Go sit down somewhere, Hillary Clinton

14 Aug

I’m so through with Hillary Clinton. For real. It seems like a life time ago that I was actually debating between Clinton and Obama for the Democratic primary nomination back in the early days of the race last year. Now?? Maaaaaan, HRC needs to have a seat. She’s supposedly campaigning for Obama, convincing her supporters to lend their votes to my main homie and Obama is supposed to be helping steer dollars toward Clinton since she is in the hole for millions of dollars after she stuffed her own money into her failed campaign.

So, while my main homie Obama is going around getting money for this woman, she goes and puts her name in nomination at the Democratic National Convention. Obama’s campaign has agreed to this bullsh*t. Basically, delegates can still vote for Clinton if they want to during roll call. The last time this happend at a DNC was in 1992. Her hubby was the presumptive nominee and Jerry Brown horned in on the celebration by keeping his name in the running. The Clintons were none too pleased.

I understand the “symbolism” and blah, blah, blah of Clinton being a woman having her name in nomination, though she would not be the first woman to do so (see Margaret Chase Smith in 1964 and Shirley Chisholm in 1972). However, let it go!! Get behind Obama! He’s that dude.

I so agree with you. The Clintons are coming off as such sore losers–especially Bill. I’m so tired of them now. *sigh*

And not many people no about Shirley Chisholm.
