Good Morning, Sunshine

If I was the president, then I would state facts
You leave it up to me, I paint the white house black
It ain’t no future in your frontin

~MC Breed, Ain’t No Future In Yo’ Frontin’~

It is a very very very bad thing when the government steps in with an $85 billion loan for the country’s largest insurer, AIG. This is Depression Era desperation here. Between Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, the ongoing foreclosure crisis and now this….man, I do not envy our next president. This is really bad and we probably have not hit bottom yet. ~CNN~

Recession got you down? Well, take a gander at this upside down rainbow. It’s smiling at you for goodness sake. ~Sun UK~

A shooting outside of a Canadian high school! Gosh darn it, now where am I going to move if McCain gets elected? ~Canadian Press~

Here’s a cute little piece about how u-g-l-y the presidential campaign is getting. ~The Root~

McCain’s camp found Tina Fey’s hilarious Palin skit to be sexist. Umm, yeah. ~Black Snob~

A third baby in China has died due to tainted baby formula and over 6,000 babies have become ill. That’s horrible. I was wondering if things like that happened in China or if they just sent all the poisonous stuff (toys, dog food, etc) over here. Seriously though, it is beyond about time to re-think our trade agreement with them. You hear that, B? ~CNN~

Me again! Good stories today – the campaign & economy is freakishly messy. I’m not well versed politically & all, but I know a hot mess when I see one. Sheer madness. Also, have to agree w/the whole China thing. What the hell is going on over there w/all this poison crap? Sheesh!

Good articles. It’s interesting that AIG can get an $85 billion bail out and folks still haven’t returned to New Orleans and people continue to lose their homes to foreclosure. I love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning.

China is a hot mess! It seems as if the gov’t just doesn’t give a damn about the citizens at all.
