Hey, it’s bigger than a typical dorm room

28 Oct

Starting today, for the next four months, former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will be spending his days in a 10 x 15 cell in the Wayne County Jail. It’s a special cell used for high profile inmates like Jack Kevorkian and White Boy Rick (a notorious drug dealer) and sometimes less famous but no less in need of protection inmates who just need to stay alive in the pen. KK will spend 23 hours a day in his cell (it has it’s own shower and toilet) and he will get one hour a day for recreation…alone. He will not mingle with other inmates at all. He can bring a tv if he wants too though. He also has windows, a bed (a gurney really), a chair and a table. Not too shabby. I could think of worse ways to spend four months–well, not even four months because he will most likely get out early for good behavior. Wait, what am I saying? This is KK we’re talking about here. I’m sure he’ll find some way to muck things up. Are there any female COs at the Wayne County Jail?

Oh and some more text messages were released to the public last week since his former side piece decided to stand trial instead of cop a plea like he did. The prosecutors refer to some of the messages as “text sex” and it is exactly what you think. It’s like reading a Zane novel only it’s really really sad and embarassing knowing that it’s real life. Oh and KK wasn’t just sending nasty little messages to Christine Beatty either. She might have been Side Piece Number One (maybe), but he had some other action too.
