Inexpensive and Cool Valentine’s Day Ideas

11 Feb

love2

Oh, Valentine’s Day! It gets such a bad rap. Guys complain that it’s a made up holiday and some women are absolutely psycho if they happen to be single on February 14th. Personally, I like Valentine’s Day. I think it’s great to have love on everyone’s mind for at least one day out of the year. Doesn’t have to be romantic love either. Your friends and family are loved too, right? Well, do something nice for them on V-Day for this year! Below are a few inexpensive and thoughtful ideas for Valentine’s Day.

Spouse/Long-term Lova

-A class/workshop together (cooking, painting, etc)

-A hand-written love letter mailed or hand-delivered to home or office

-Surprise wine and dessert picnic in the living room

-A day of his/her favorite museums/movies

-At home spa (bubble bath, massage, etc)

New relationship

-Brunch at a cute restaurant

-A nice card that says you are looking forward to getting to know the person better

-A visit to a museum that neither of you has ever been to

Friends and Relatives

-A really nice card (preferably hand-written)

-A phonecall!

-A photograph of the two of you

-An inspirational (or just plain good) book
