How is this racist? I would say it depends on how you take it.

Blacks have been likened to monkeys for a very very long time. The fact that the editors would choose to tie in the stimulus package with the recent shooting of that chimp with Obama in office is at best insensitive and inappropriate and at worst racist and inappropriate.

Couldn’t agree more, LoveIsDope. When viewed in the context of the racist history of the New York Post, (both recent and long term), we all know what they meant.

When are you people going to grow up, your like a bunch of second graders. I think it was rather funny! For your information Obama did not write the stimulus bill, he merely signed it. Our glorious congress wrote the bill. soon we will all be living in government houses and driving government cars to are government jobs.

Well of course Congress wrote the bill and President Obama signed it, however we all know that the cartoon was depicting our current President as a chimp. Loveisdope is right, “Blacks have been likened to monkeys for a very very long time”. I also can’t believe the editors published this cartoon (well it was the NY Post) What other message were we suppose to get from this cartoon?

Mickey, you are not even making a serious comment, so I’m not even going to address it.

Shaunie, I know right? The newspaper industry is struggling as it is. You would think that the editors over there would be trying to keep their jobs instead throw them down the toilet.
