Demetria aka Demtra,
Great Blogs….I agree that Senator Obama needs to monitor his Black Planet pages. Can you get in touch with him? 🙂

Relevant and extremely troubling. Change starts at the top. Leadership, in the face of years of turmoil, is a problem – if not, The problem.

No problem, Niki. I’m from the D, so I blow into town every now and then. I’ll definitely let you all know when I’m there next time. Probably sometime over the summer.

No, it’s not mine. Google Search brought me that pic. I don’t recall where it came from originally.

Hey Demetria, whats your thoughts on the President Obama’s Health Care Plan?
August 14, 2009 at 9:51 am
I had been kinda staying out of politics on the blog lately. I might do something on that though. In a nutshell though, I think it’s outrageous that this country does not have universal healthcare. There is no reason that someone should get cancer and have to file for bankruptcy or have to choose between treatments based on cost alone. Obama’s on the right path.

I was wandering if i was missing something, with a lot of people seeming to be against the plan. Yeah I see you’ve stayed away from politics for awhile. I don’t know how you have time to blog, fb, twitter, write, wife, travel, pets, etc….. Can’t wait to see you in Vegas 🙂

Some extreme right-wingers have done a great job of spreading lies that people have been believing.
I don’t have time to do it all. That’s why this blog is so neglected! LOL
Viva Las Vegas!!!

I like the new layout of your blog!! Keep up the great work! If you allow-I would love to read the first draft of your novel!!
November 4, 2009 at 3:35 pm
Thanks! I don’t think anyone will be laying eyes on my first draft (I have some big edits/additions that I purposely left for round 2), but I’ll probably let a few folks see the second version. 🙂

Hello there. I know you said you were from Detroit but live in NYC but, in your review of the new Badu album you used the word “jawn.” Now, that’s a straight up Philly word..lol. Since leaving Philly I rarely hear that word anymore. Used to be I couldn’t go a day without using or hearing that word.
Just a thought.

LOL You’re right that is very much a Philly word! I just like it. 🙂
